Instalation art explores the relationship between
the Chinese takeaway and the community it serves.
12/6-27/7: Face of China
Lip Lee photographs cantemorary China exploring the
juxtaposition of Capitalism and Communism,
whilst Dinu Li's images portray a remote tribe
whose past is more powerful than it's present.
28/7-14/9: Mary Tang
Artist and Chinese Arts Centre's workshop leader
Mary Tang displays her traditional calligraphy & brush
painting alongside that of students.
22/9-24/10: The Son of Heaven and the Gunboat Diplomats
An exhibition exploring the historical relationship of
Britian and China during the Opium Wars.
10/11-20/12: Susan Lok
An installation about conversations occuring between
the fragments of our past and present.
2/2-29/5: Nora Fok
Sculptor and jewellery maker Nora Fok presents a
rerospective of he spectacular work.
Also the Chinese Arts Centre will be anouncing the
dates for Wei Li, soprano and traditional Chinese
folk singer and Edwin Lung and the BiMa dance company.
Events organised will include classes and workshops.
